Short on time? This 2-day safari from Arusha packs in two of Tanzania's highlights: a full day among Tarangire's elephant herds and giant baobabs, and a game drive on the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, home to the Big Five.
You'll spend the night between the parks in Mto wa Mbu, Manyara (Kibaoni) or Karatu, depending on your choice of lodge, and be back in Arusha by the evening of day two.
After an early pickup from your hotel in Arusha, drive about two hours to Tarangire National Park. Spend the day on game drives among ancient baobab trees and big elephant herds, with lion, giraffe, zebra and rich birdlife along the Tarangire River. Picnic lunch in the park. In the late afternoon, drive to your lodge in Mto wa Mbu, Manyara (Kibaoni) or Karatu for dinner and overnight.
